Yves de Keersmaeker

Yves de Keersmaeker, the original YdK, is a performer and storyteller, as he puts it: "these are images that I draw with words". A former international decorator, he met vocal coach Seth Riggs (Michael Bolton, Michael Jackson and others) who steered the singer towards the crooner repertoire. With coach Pierre-Yves Duchesne (Lara Fabian) he rediscovered the great standards of the French "chanson".

The album "Atlantique-Atlantic" is a journey through French songs, which have become popular on both sides of the Atlantic. It is a link with his former profession of antiques dealer specialized in silverware for hotels and ocean liners.

Patrick Hamilton's stylish production recaptures the grandeur of the 1950s, with a large orchestra of 50 violins.
